DenmarkxReader: A Good Night's Sleep

    Today was finally Saturday; you were off from school and your part time job with North and South Italy at a pizza store. Not the first job you'd like to work at, South Italy yelling out curses in Italian all day, but at least it paid you well enough for you to survive.

    You were staying in Denmark's house with Norway. Denmark was the one who took you in after he saw you stuck in the pizza store during the storm.

    "I'm working at the bar today! Don't wait for me because I'll be back late!" Denmark had that same smile on his face, like the time he drove to his place from that pizza store. He wore a uniform of a black dress shirt, a tie and dark jeans. You wondered to yourself what kinds of stuff he did at bars, but you didn't drink much. You never happened to visit him at the bar because of it.

     Norway caught you staring at the door, so he said, "There is lunch on the table, if you are hungry. I'm going out. Just call, okay?" Norway said in a plain  tone and exited the house to leave you thinking to yourself.

     You climbed up to your room, which WAS Denmark's room, but he insisted that you borrowed it (he sleeps on the couch ). You called a few people like your friend Japan, whom you can always go to for some advice. You spent the whole afternoon killing time, until you heard the front door creak open.

    Norway appeared with the same expression he has everyday: bored, excluding the times he he gets pissed at Denmark. You rushed down to greet him, he just simply patted your head and went on this way to be undisturbed in his room. You giggled softly, wondering the kinds of thisg he did to make his as tired as he was.

    After dinner, with Denmark not back yet, Norway suggested that you watch a movie with him. He said he felt bad that you were left on your own for the whole day. /This is new../ you thought as you nodded. "It's only 11pm, I guess I can watch with you!" You replied.

    You ran back upstairs to change into your pajamas and swiftly ran back down to wait for the popcorn to pop. "What movie are we watching Norge?" You smile playfully.

    "The Thing. Norwegian and American scientists go to Antarctica (actually, it was filmed in Ontario, Canada x3)..." He held the DVD cover up for me to read.

    You fell asleep on Norway's shoulder at the near end of the movie, the time being about 12:32am. Norway struggled, but soon got you to your room and silently closed the door.

    An hour or two later, the front door slammed open, and footsteps seemed to be coming upstairs. The man entered the room, with a sigh that smelled like heavy alcohol. He fell on the bed, right behind you, and slid his arm to your waist. He nuzzled his face to your neck and pulled you to his chest. He started mumbling something, but then you heard three clear words escape from his mouth that made you know who this was. The man whispered "Jeg elsker dig..". You were so shocked, it kept you up all night.

    /Does he know it's me?/
    /Does he really mean it?/

    The next morning you woke up alone. "Ah, it was just a dream..." you mumbled to yourself. You rubbed your panda eyes and yawned as Norway was chuckling between bites of food. Denmark smiled at you with a fork of food in his hand, but then looked the other way, slightly blushing. You walked up to him, and looked at him questionably. You lowered his hand that held the fork and took a bite out of it. You were too tired to notice a little crumb of food on your lip. Norway said nothing, he just looked out the window next to him as he put another piece of food in his mouth.

    The next thing you saw is Denmark bending down and kissing you. He licked your lip and quickly pulled back and smiled. You turned red, like Romano's buono tomatoes. "You had a crumb on your lip!" Denmark pointed to his own lip and smiled. He laughed, as you gave him a smug look of disbelief.
